If you're feeling blue today, it could be the ultimate case of the Mondays.
Psychologist Cliff Arnall says the third Monday in January is the most depressing day of the entire year,
dubbing it Blue Monday.
Arnall's formula factors in the weather, time elapsed since Christmas, failed New Year's resolutions, and debt.
The British researcher, who first wrote about Blue Monday in 2005, concludes that people hit a low around the third week in January.
"Motivational levels also tend to be quite low at this time of year," Arnall told CTV's Canada AM in 2011.
